Hello everyone like most of us we all have to do some renovating every now and then .It can be some aggressive weeds taking over your lawn. Or just a bad variety of grass in your lawn you have to remove and start over.

In my case I had both the previous owner did not really take care of his lawn so the variety of fescue he has was an older one not so disease persistent ,lots of aggressive weeds,crabgrass and other grassy weeds that were very annoying. I just wanted a nice lush,dark green lawn to be there for years to come that out kids could play on.

So back in July I started the renovation and luckily for you I filmed it all except for the rototilling and the before picture. Yes my mistake I wish I had filmed the before picture so you would have seen how bad it was anyhow I will next time.

So like I said I have been filming this since July and will upload the whole video by the middle of October so you can see my journey with the variety of turf type tall fescue titan rx. If you are looking for a nice lawn I strongly recommend it ,rather than going with a bluegrass/fescue blend.

The grass is greener on the other side

It is greener on the other side    You know that saying! dont you ??? It does hold some truth. Believe it or not but today during the heat wave we are having, I must have seen close to 50 people cutting there grass in the heat ,in the sun close to 90 to 95 degrees. And tomorrow its supposed to be 95 as the high and im sure I will see more people cutting there grass. I know its weird in a way. You see the thing is cutting your grass in a heat wave or anything close to 90 degrees is the last thing youd want to do.     Actually you would be doing more harm than good as it would be restricting the grass plants from being able to produce energy to grow.And would turn a  your lawn  a bit spotty and yellowish brown. So the best thing to do is to cut the lawn at night if rain is in the forecast the next day or just wait a week to 10 days until the heat wave is over.
